Book of the Raven Zero Session
Billy takes on the role of DM as we gear up for adventure three in Candlekeep Mysteries - Book of the Raven. We're doing something unique for each campaign and for this one, we were tasked with creating characters for each other in secret before sharing in our zero session. This was something new for all of us and an exciting way to kick off this next journey.
Meet the Party
Alder Colt Leander (Made for Chris by Erik)
Alder was a simple guild merchant living a peaceful life as a purveyor of fine libations, until one day he woke up with magic shooting out of both ends. While a delightful novelty at first, things quickly got out of hand after he was showing off at a tasting party and burned down his storefront. Distraught and unable to find any clues to this magical affliction in his village, Alder sets out on a quest to understand this strange power and how to control it.
Stardew Raindrop (Made for Mark by Chris)
Stardew is a young Wood Elf hailing from the Mooonwood Forrest. Born into the Druidic Moonwood Enclave under Salune's sign, she has been chosen as the Enclave's next spiritual leader. Now that she has come of age, she has been tasked with her spiritual quest of attuning to the Moonfire Staff, a treasured Druid relic that has been passed down through the generations. With starlight gleaming in her eyes, she sets forth to explore the world, learn from its bountiful opportunities and attune to the staff.
Soaanz (Made for Erik by Mark)
Once a mid-ranking soldier, Soaanz discovered his superiors had waged a dishonorable war to capture rivals and mine the gemstones from their people. During a decisive battle, he was overtaken by rage and attacked members of his garrison who were preying upon a wounded enemy. Others witnessed his attempts to save the man's life and he had to be spirited away by the enemy. After attempts to conscript him against his clan failed, he escaped their POW camp and fled as far from the warzone as he could.
